Natural Self Tanner by Thermalabs

 

I was so excited to get to review this product!  I am a pool junkie and am normally "glowing" this time of year with a beautiful sunkissed tan, but due to a crazy summer and life flipping upside down, that just didn't happen!

Thermalabs has created an AMAZING product.  The directions are very simple and if you follow them, you will have a natural looking tan in no time!  If you are not a lover of all things sun, I find that 1 application of this product will work great for you.  But, if you already have a base tan, like myself, you may need to add some extra applications.  The picture below was taken on a Sunday.  I applied 1 application on Friday and 2 on Saturday to get this glow.  What is even BETTER about this product, is that is quite the moisturizer too!!!

This was a fun review for me to take part in.  Driving down the road to "Your Ol Lady's Gone" is like a breath of fresh air.  Steve Branch has a voice as smooth as Tennessee Whiskey.  Combine that with the flawlessness of Dean's harmony and you are listening to pure TALENT!

Branch and Dean are National Celebrity Ambassadors for Cystic Fibrosis and released a song titled "The Dash"

“The Dash,” is a tribute to Steve Branch's 23-year-old son, Theron who died after years of battling Cystic Fibrosis. “The Dash” challenges listeners to make the most of every moment between the birth and death dates that will someday be listed on their headstones. “Life goes by so fast and our story’s defined by how we spend that dash,” Branch sings in the hauntingly beautiful ballad."

I find it near impossible to listen to that song without tearing up. 

I have followed Branch and Dean on Facebook for quite some time, and have admired the random videos posted by Steve Branch on wimb.  You never know what song he will be singing or when he will post it, but it surely is a treat!

I am not even going to begin to sound eloquent or use amazing word play with this review. I was afraid that I would have a hard time voicing my opinion due to the fact, that there is no book to compare the movie to!  But, it is actually going to be quite easy.  This movie was GREAT!!!  Never once, did I find myself bored or uninterested.  My husband attended the screening with me and he even liked it (that's saying something)!!  Blake Lively played a timeless roll as Adaline Bowman and her co-star
 Michael Huisman mirrored her role as a charming Ellis Jones.  This movie is a MUST SEE for anyone who enjoys a good romance.

INSURGENT

                                                                (SPOILER ALERT)

 

Movie goers and fans of the first film DIVERGENT will find Insurgent entertaining and action packed.  Theo James did not disappoint with his role as Tobias “Four” Eaton and Shailene Woodley once again stole our hearts with her heroic role as Tris Prior.

BUT, fans of the Divergent Series written by Veronica Roth, may not be as impressed.  Unlike with Divergent, I feel that Insurgent was thrown too far in left field, as though the writers took Veronica Roths’ story and ran in a completely different direction.  Very little lined up with the book, and crucial parts that were in the book, were left out (For example Tris’ alliance with Marcus, or Caleb taking Tris to her execution).  It is important that movie goers also know the struggle between Tris and Tobias as it is in the book, in order to feel the full impact of their reconcile in Allegiant.  There was NOTHING in relation to the wall building between them in the movie.  This will be the main disappointment among fans of the book.

I do appreciate some of the changes made, for example the BOX!  Why didn’t Veronica Roth think of that?  But, once again, the Simulation machine that Tris was hooked to, is not of that world and too Matrix- like for this particular setting.

Overall, it was just another Hollywood film, filled with action and good actors.
